OUR STORY

For over 15 years, TDWM has served the Indianapolis community by loving and trying to better the lives of those in the inner city - being the church in action. Now, more than ever, there is a tremendous need for this kind of service in urban areas. We hope and pray each day that God is using us to better the community and the lives of those we work with. Thank you for taking an interest in our ministry. If you have any questions or are interested in serving with us, internships, mission trips or contributing please visit the contact portion of this website.

Tear Down the Walls is dedicated to Christian Community Development (CCD) through a Variety of programs and ministries. Our outreach to the homeless of Indianapolis includes Case Management (counseling our friends, encouraging goals, helping our friends to find housing, employment training, medical care, clothing, etc...), our Lunch and Bible Study ministry, our homeless street outreach program and remodeling abandoned buildings to be used as housing. Our outreach to the youth includes student leadership programs, after school programs, summer camp, VBS (Vacation Bible School), youth service projects, student Mission Trips,  internships, and youth focused block parties and events.

TDWM's community development programs include remodeling abandoned buildings in poor, under resourced neighborhoods of the inner city to be used for housing and ministry, Urban Farming projects transforming abandoned lots into beautiful Community Gardens, teaching others how to raise small animals and produce their own nutritious foods in the inner city and working with those in the community to promote community development and create jobs, leaders, and friends. Our current CCD focus is on King Commons a neighborhood on the near northwest side of Indy near Riverside.

Our mission is to love and serve God and others.
